President Revd. Father John Givens took delight in presenting Dr. Barry Valance from the heart unit at Hairmyres Hospital with a cheque for £6000 to be enable the final ambulance to be equipped with a heart Defibulater.

Casino night raised £1350.47. Race night Brought in £1200.

Rotarian Eric Barr nominated on to East Kilbride Sports Council. 

R.I. World Conference held in Glasgow our President John  Givens appointed “Sergeant at Arms” for the Conference and Edwin Robertson had the task of organising for all the interpreters at the conference.  East Kilbride Rotary Club can be proud of their contribution when they provided home hosting that was organised along the lines of pre- dinner drinks at Rotarians homes followed by an organised dinner in the Torrance hotel for over overseas guests 100 guests.
